Based on previous reviews I took the plunge and hoped that this would be the blue LED version. Luck would have it that I ordered two and received two blue ones so this seller appears to still have stock of the original fast blue ones and not the watered down orange ones. (Really wish the 16gb versions were made of LiquidMetal and had the faster chips, but alas I guess saving a buck in production is worth tarnishing the name of a great product.) I own 2GB, 4GB, and 16GB versions of the black cased, amber LED, Cruzer Micro drives. All work well and I've never had one die on me, but when it comes to raw performance the amber LED doesn't come close to the blue LED LiquidMetal Titanium Cruzers.
To backup another reviewers speed claims, I can write a 2GB .iso to the drive in 2min 12sec, thats and avg of 15mb/sec. I can read a 2GB .iso from the drive in 55sec, thats an avg of 36mb/sec. Various file types take slightly different times, but all average about 1mb/sec+- from the ISO transfer speeds.
For comparison with my 4GB & 16gb amber LED Cruzers. (Which should be similar speed to all amber LED Cruzers) I can write the same 2GB .iso to the drive in 4min 32sec for an avg of 7mb/sec. I can read the 2gb .iso from the drive in 1min 11sec, for an avg of 28mb/sec. This brings me to the conclusion that, in my tests anyways, the amber LED is 53% slower writing and 22% slower reading than the blue LED Titanium Cruzer.
*All NTFS formatted and connected to a Windows 7 64bit machine.

4GB Cruzer Micro - Write Avg: 7.02MB/s Read Avg: 12.61MB/s
16GB Cuzer Micro - Write Avg: 6.14MB/s Read Avg: 19.98MB/s
4GB Cruzer Titanium - Write Avg: 14.03MB/sec Read Avg: 19.36MB/sec

I had a different U3 cruzer before and there was a billion options and downloads available for this product. You could even have Mozilla Firefox and watch flash videos. That is all pretty much history. And that was the only reason people were buying these. At least people I know.

de verdad vale la pena invertir en un USB que te ofrezca gran durabilidad y calidad. si eres de esas personas que los pierdes y olvidas en todos lados, quizás se te haga un poco caro sobre todo que en cualquier tienda puedes encontrar opciones mas baratas. yo tengo casi 3 años con el mío y nunca he tenido ninguna queja. recientemente compre este para un regalo. muy buena opción.
