I purchased this item for use with my Logitech Harmony 1100 remote. It was to replace another remote (model IR02BK) by this same company when the "pause" button failed to work. On that remote I was informed through a company email that the problem was caused by a production control problem. They provided me a return authorization.

Since I could not be without a working remote, before I returned the IR02BK, I ordered the IR01BK as a replacement. Unfortunately, the pause button did not work on that remote either. Last night, after about five weeks of use, the IR01BK stopped working at all.

Since the RMA was issued, emails to the company have been ignored, including my request for a phone number so that we could try to resolve these issues. For those who wish to contact the company, based upon the RMA address, the product appears to have been distributed by Media Gate (Anyware Computer Accessories) in Baldwin Park, CA. Their phone number is 626-330-2203.

I have given up on trying to make either of the two remotes work. I will now temporarily reinstall the IR02BK and look for a remote with a better reliability history.

Love this remote but I am really using it with my Logitech Harmony 880. I use the name "Anyware GP-IR01BK" as the name for my Harmony to recognize. Anyware GP-IR01BK is also on Harmony database.

Now my Harmony 880 is happily controlling my Dell Zino Windows 7 Media Center. It even puts the PC to sleep when pressing the off button on the 880. Wakes it up too. Very impressive product.

As a side note, I am using Wins 7 Media Center with MediaBrowser and it is fantastic. I am a die hard Apple fan, but Windows 7 MCE is addressing all my multimedia needs for the TV at the moment.

The remote is kind of a strange curved shape but otherwise it works great. I am using it with Windows 7 and WMC. As it turns out, it also works on my XBox 360, which is nice, but also means I need to cover the sensor on the XBox if I don't want have it do random things while I use the remove in WMC.

This product is mostly functional. That's the best thing I can say about it: the selection button does indeed swap the output destination.

Now, negatives on the other hand...
- The audio passthrough noticeably degrades the quality even though I have far from golden ears
- The USB ports introduce all the issues associated with antiquated first-generation USB hubs e.g. keys locking in after having been released, noticeable frequent lag for both keyboard and mouse, eats the occasional keypress (particularly modifier keys or repeated keys, e.g. the second S in 'press')
- Fairly loud internal beeper every time you press select.
- Intercepts Scroll Lock for the keyboard-based swap - which doesn't actually work.
- The box itself is light, attached cables are far heavier, so it'll rest at about a 20 degree angle, weighted towards the back.
- Because keyboard shortcuts don't work, you'll have to keep this where you can reach it, which probably means on top of your desk. Enjoy the many extra cables!

Overall, this is only good for machines which see very occasional use. If you have exactly two server towers in a corner and want to minimize the peripherals to manage them, this is perfect. But if you thought as I did that it'd make a good low-cost alternative to a laptop dock for your workplace, think again. You'll just be rolling out the welcome mat for several annoyances.

tried with 3 different keyboards but it would not work. I wasted all day just trying to get it to work. And I am not illiterate, I am an engineer. Called DLINK 6 times and wasted another 3 hours they could not and would not help me. Low priority item? Probably. No solutions? Likely. Try to buy Belkin or something else, save lots of hassle.

This is my third KVM switch for using a single keyboard and monitor for two or more computers. So far I am using two keyboards, but I may still get it down to a single keyboard, The monitor, as usual, works flawlessly. My first & 3rd were D_Link. I am staying with that brand. My second was to combine four computers by an off-brand manufacturer, which worked fairly well for only two months; then it expired. Stay with name brands and this does not seem to happen.

Supposedly this item will recognize any IDE device and list it as a USB MSD. I tried playing with this thing for half a day and finally I found the only thing it would truly recognize as a usable extra drive would be CD-ROMs. Otherwise the USB MSD would show up, then disappear about 15 seconds later! (I discovered later that the only USB ports on my computer that would recognize external USB hard drives was through a PCI card hub that I installed for expandability. Nothing about this was mentioned in the documentation that came with the item. Buyer beware.)
If this is the kind of thing you will use it for (being able to add a CDROM without taking up one of your IDE cable ends), then this might be for you.
ADDED NOTE(4/20/08): Since I have purchased a newer computer, this cable has worked fine with the newer ports. I have discovered some of the older USB ports won't ID as 1.1 or 2.0; if your computer is a newer one with V2.0 ports this item should probably be fine to hook up that backup IDE hard drive.

After initial trouble it works great. When I received it, I connected the drive to power and the 40 pin header, then connected the USB. It either worked intermittently or not at all (I heard the USB connection sound then the disconnection sound)
Later after thinking of sending it back, a ran across a review that said to check the jumper settings on the drive. After changing the setting on the hard drive from cable-select to MASTER (then) it worked without a hitch.

Works well with various hard drives and manufacturers. 6.4G, 10G, 15G, 200G, Seagate, Maxtor, WD. Doesn't seem to recognize smaller 4.3 or 3.2GB drives. Works on Mac OSX

I bought this to help recover files from "dead" computers, both my own and for customers. It is very convenient to plug in an external drive without cracking open your case. I have used it with both XP and Vista, and on a variety of hard drives (old and new) with perfect success. Be sure to connect the cables as outlined in the instructions on the box.

Caveats: if you want to use a drive as a permanent external drive, you are probably better off getting an external enclosure. This product is really intended for temporary connections.

Also, this item is not as portable as you might like, mainly because the power adapter is large (almost as big as my notebook's).

Nevertheless, this is a great tool for the money.

I purchased this for a friend's new Asus EeePc Seashell netbook so she could charge it while driving. I knew there was a possibility that the included tips probably would not fit, but decided to try it. Sure enough, it needed an additional tip, just as the ad in Amazon indicated. A call to iGo Customer Support verified the 213 tip on their website would fit this netbook. I ordered and received it in three days; immediate problem solved! I found while using it that the tip is a little sensitive to being lined up in a precise manner, otherwise no problems.

Additionally, I found the among the other included tips one that fit my Lenovo laptop. This means I can use the iGo charger while on long trips without having to purchase a separate travel unit. Highly useful all around.

Based on previous reviews I took the plunge and hoped that this would be the blue LED version. Luck would have it that I ordered two and received two blue ones so this seller appears to still have stock of the original fast blue ones and not the watered down orange ones. (Really wish the 16gb versions were made of LiquidMetal and had the faster chips, but alas I guess saving a buck in production is worth tarnishing the name of a great product.) I own 2GB, 4GB, and 16GB versions of the black cased, amber LED, Cruzer Micro drives. All work well and I've never had one die on me, but when it comes to raw performance the amber LED doesn't come close to the blue LED LiquidMetal Titanium Cruzers.

To backup another reviewers speed claims, I can write a 2GB .iso to the drive in 2min 12sec, thats and avg of 15mb/sec. I can read a 2GB .iso from the drive in 55sec, thats an avg of 36mb/sec. Various file types take slightly different times, but all average about 1mb/sec+- from the ISO transfer speeds.

For comparison with my 4GB & 16gb amber LED Cruzers. (Which should be similar speed to all amber LED Cruzers) I can write the same 2GB .iso to the drive in 4min 32sec for an avg of 7mb/sec. I can read the 2gb .iso from the drive in 1min 11sec, for an avg of 28mb/sec. This brings me to the conclusion that, in my tests anyways, the amber LED is 53% slower writing and 22% slower reading than the blue LED Titanium Cruzer.

*All NTFS formatted and connected to a Windows 7 64bit machine.

We use this in my tech class to test the power supplies. It is simple to use, just plug the 20/24 plug into it and it will tell you if it is good or not. Either it lights up or it doesn't. It is very light, and feels like cheap plastic, but it works well, and have had no problems using it. This is a cheap way to diagnosis bad power supplies. It's a must have.

So I've bought three sets of the 2x2GB PC2-5300 SODIMM for various computers. I have two Dell D620 Latitude laptops that these DIMM's work GREAT in. I recently acquired a MacBook 3,1 (A1181) 2.2 GHz and there seems to be a compatibility issue. I can get the Mac to boot with either 2GB DIMM in either slot, but not both at the same time.

I bought a pair of these and doubled the 2GBs that my HP dv6500t came with. Two important things (both positive.) 1)Unlike the experience of some other users and reviewers, my Vista 32-bit system shows all 4 GBs (not the three the same OS shows with 4GBs loaded into my DELL desktop) and, more importantly, 2) The speed of the laptop is now lightening fast. It was no slouch with the 2GBs, but now - well, if you appreciate speed you'll find this very modestly priced upgrade well worth your while. No problems whatever.

I have relied on the Mann brand since 2003, for use as air and oil filters on my Mercedes S-430. They have always worked well. It is important that the filters fit, and that they remove the really small particles that can wear down your engine.

The Mann Automotive Filter Set C 3698-2 included two filters at a great price of $30.56 and the shipping was free. Even though I used the free super savings shipping, it only took a week as less to get them. The Mann filters ordered are the original that came in our new 2006 C230 Mercedes Benz. Mann filters are quality products actually made in Germany. I think the recommended miles before the filters on our car have to be changed is 50,000 and it is best to stick with the original filters if they are Mann. I compared prices of aftermarket filters and the prices were essentially as high or even higher. I did not have to pay taxes on the Mann filters either. I also use the original Mann oil filter for the Benz which is about the same price as a WIX brand. I am a degreed engineer who is very particular about things and have actually worked on many projects with the Germans. German companies tend to take pride in manufacturing quality products. I have been very pleased with the service and pricing from Amazon over the years. Even though there is more to changing the two filters in our Benz compared to most cars, it was not difficult and only took about 10 or 15 minutes after I read the procedure. Keep up the good customer service Amazon! I hope this review helps those who read it. DW

I never really wanted a Bluetooth, but I live in an area that "hands free" is required by law when driving. For my birthday, I received the LG solar Bluetooth and this has been a great product. The sound has been loud enough. I can speak at a normal tone and the people on the other end all tell me they hear me very clearly. The only downside I have found is the range.. it is too far. The first time I set it up.. I was in my office and noticed that I had missed 3 calls. It was still connected to my car out in the parking lot. I have to make a point to turn it off when I go into my office. Other than that, it works really well. I have never had the power run down on it and I been on conference calls for more than an hour. I recommended the LG solar bluetooth to my boss and all my friends.

This is a really great little device. It's small. Light. Charges in the sun. Pairs easily. Gets good talk time. People can hear you clear (a few callers said I was clear if not just a little distant sounding). It's really loud...so much that it distorts if you turn it up all the way.

The downside is, if you dont like having things on your window...you are out of luck. Thats the only place you can mount it (actually a glass sunroof is the most ideal place - sadly it wont stick to mine which has a funky coating). It's tiny so it doesn't take a lot of space, but it kinda bugs me. So I mounted it behind the mirror. Which is fine, except it makes it hard to turn on/off. More so, the large 'answer call' button will 'redial last caller' if there is no incoming call; makes it all to easy to misdial your last call. I realize this point here is just me not liking stuff on the window - thats what it comes down to.

With bluetooth devices I tend to charge them once, then once the battery dies, never again. It just never makes it back inside the house. Recharging once a week or whatever seems obnoxious.

Enter the self-charging LG bluetooth. It's stupid easy to use (two buttons), syncs up quickly, and never, ever, ever needs to be charged (after the first time). I put it on the window of my car and it's stayed charged for several months of light to moderate usage. Fantastic!

Now for the bad news--the speaker is crap. I've given up using this on the freeway at speed. Granted I drive fast and have a noisyish sports car, but I still have to wait until I hit one of LA's inevitable traffic jams to really make any important calls. I would give it 5 stars if I could hear things clearly, but as it is this unit earns 3.5 stars. (Cue Ed McMahon)

Works well, easy to install. Does the job as promised. Wires easily pulled through the opening. Requires a deep box as mentioned in earlier reviews.

Look closely at the pictures, the product is very good quality but it needs to be stated that the 110V side only works with a deep style wire box and the A/V side will not work with any box. So to mount this item to the wall correctly, the installer needs to use a deep wall box for the electrical side and ten take a open frame style style mount for the A/V side. Such an animal does not exist, so the best you can do will be to take a double gang deep wire box and cut away most of the back side on the A/V side. Definitely a headache maker.

But the benefits of eliminating 4 connections and 2 extra wires per connection more than make up for the headache once it had been figured out. Otherwise, it looks good and the piece is actually pretty good quality.
